Scientific name : Andrographis paniculata
Local name : Hempudu Tanah
Height : Up to 3/4 meter.
Distinguish Features : Small white flowers. Long beans with small black seeds.
Found : Usually planted as garden herb. Sometime grows wild along trails.
Commercial: Available in capsules.
Use For : Whooping cough or sore throat
- Take some leaves.
- Put them on a cup.
- Pour boiling water into the cup.
- Drink when cool. Bitter to taste.
- Continue drinking as tea.
Use For: Open sore or wound
- Pound the leaves.
- Apply the paste on the sore or wound.
- Reapply when necessary until the wound dries.
Use For: High blood pressure
- Take a pinch of leaves.
- Pour boiling water into the cup with the leaves.
- Drink when cool.
- Drink thrice per week.
