Malaysia's Largest Sundial

Malaysia's largest sundial is located at Harmony Square. It symbolizes a place of a new beginnings, growth, prosperity, peace and tranquility. With the purpose of showing the time of day by the shadow casts by its "gnomon" (the pin of the dial located in its center), the largest sundial in Malaysia is specially designed and fashioned out of stainless steel and brass measuring 7 meters in diameter as acknowledged by the Malaysia Book of Records and surrounded by a fountain capable of shooting forth jets of water up to more than 9 meters high. Official launched by the 5th Prime Minister of Malaysia on 28th August 2004. The words of wisdom will be opened on 28th August 2021.

It is listed in the Malaysia Book of Records for having the biggest sundial. The record was issued to Equine Capital Berhad on March 2005. Size: 7.1 meters in diameter.

How to go to Malaysia's Largest Sundial

The Malaysia's Largest Sundial is located at Harmony Square, Crescentia Park, Bandar Cassia, Batu Kawan, Seberang Prai, Penang, Malaysia. The sundial is accessible from the North-South Highway exiting at Batu Kawan Tol exit. Continue towards Bukit Tambun passing the stadium on you left. You should see Crescentia Park on your left. It is on the south-eastern end of the housing estate.
